The answer lies in finding a strong answer to the question as to why you are afraid of leaving your job. It may be financial, lack of confidence, family pressure etc. If you have too many such issues, it is better to continue staying with your job for now. While continuing with your job you can spend your evenings and weekends trying to validate your idea and make some progress. After you have validated the idea, you can look at jumping into the entrepreneurial route if you have conviction in yourself and had the strong passion to pursue your idea. Do not jump into the entrepreneurial route without clear thinking, not only about the solution but also about your own life in terms of how you will survive the initial uncertain period of the startup.

Being and Entrepreneur is never an easy option. You should be very confident about your business plan/opportunity and be ready to take on the challenge. Given the current situation it is but natural for every one to be hesitant to venture into new business. However this is also a good time to validate your ideas and test the waters. If you are really convinced with your business idea start it out on a trial basis, put some extra effort  and build a proof of concept and check if there is really a market. Once convinced go all out. Wishing you al the best.

Start something on the side. Spend 1-2 hrs every day outside of your 9-5 job. Ensure that your idea gets traction (users, revenue etc). Iterate until you are satisfied with the idea and you have confidence to leave your job.

Ok implement a Full prove start-up plan and improve it at its best and build confidence untill the plan is 1000% efficient and then quite the job working on your start-up
